Learn to skate
This will be an introduction to ice skating without introducing concepts of hockey. Emphasis will be placed on personal skill development within a fun-filled environment.
The 2023 LEARN TO SKATE program will be run by Rumsey Hall Hockey coaches and student-athletes. The goal of the LEARN TO SKATE program is to take your child from the first steps on the ice to being able to navigate the ice while turning, stopping and skating backwards. This program is not for children who are able to skate well and are looking for more advanced technique instruction.
The following equipment is required: Helmet (hockey-style with cage) and skates. Gloves (winter or hockey), elbow and knee pads are recommended. Skate rentals are not available.
Children ages 4 and up with little or no skating experience.
Location, Cost, and Schedule
Location: All LEARN TO SKATE sessions will be held at Rumsey Hall School in Washington, CT.
Cost: $150
Schedule: One 45-minute lesson per week on the following Sundays:

February 4, 2024 No Skate
